1. This video touched me. It is very informative. The main idea is that children, wherever they are, can learn everything despite an absence of a teacher, books and just having a thirst for a knowledge and access to the Internet.
I take the view that encouragement is a great way of helping children in demonstrating their abilities, using a computer and studying the language without any course books.
I honestly think that these children are quick learners and the methods of studying are incredible.
2. This speaker is talking about the importance of investing in education, to appreciate teaching profession and encourage students to study.  It was said that the teachers are the light of education, they should deliver a range of student's skills.
It is common knowledge, that in the USA children get a diploma, but in Finland, they get a knowledge. There is no teacher's pet because they individualize the process of studying.
3. To build a good system of education we have to avoid punishments,  do not allow children playing truant and copycatting. Talking and understanding them it is really important.

It is the first time I'm creating such images. Hope that it will be more or less funny. Let's get start the ball rolling.

Hello, my dear past friend. I'm gonna tell you about changes which help us to learn languages. The linguists slowly but surely try to create different online tools which help you to learn language staying at home, doing household duties or even listening to music.
I would like to share some of them with you.
The first dictionary I would like to share with you is Urban dictionary This online dictionary is good because of simple definitions which users create. You can try yourself in writing definitions also. I think it helps to understand the meaning of the words better.

The next one is The free dictionary
Instead of an explanation of the words, there are grammar exercises, useful articles and even the forum with currently important topics.

The third dictionary is Oxford The advantage of this online dictionary are creating your own wordlists. Although, you can get an information about appearing of new words and their explanation.

One more interesting tool is fraze.it I find it helpful because of different examples and sentences with using the word you are looking for. Also, you can find there synonyms and images of the word you need.

Memrise is one of my favorite tools. Using it you may learn anything you want or need. There are a lot of different topics which helps to learn, understand and even to take part in learning competition with other users. I would like to show you my example of learning French and here it is.

Finally, I want to share with you flash cards which I created. Here is a link Flash cards for my past friend .
Hope these recourses will be useful for you.

                                       Use your dictionary properly

Nowadays a lot of different types of learning English are available. One of the most popular and useful methods is learning new words by using a dictionary.

When you start learning new language, every day you come across unknown words and you try to guess its meaning. But, if you want to get better it seems that sooner or later you will look an unknown word up in the dictionary. So, if you don't know how to work with dictionary it will take your time to find a right definition of the word.
There are some useful tips how to use your dictionary.
  • know your dictionary;
It means that if you are studying English as a second language you should choose a dictionary very carefully. There are two types of dictionaries: 1) prescriptive (gives you only meaning the words without any examples); 2)descriptive (good for ESL learner, gives definitions, grammar tips, and examples). Also, we should use monolingual dictionaries, it will help us to understand the meaning of the words without translation.
  • know how words sound;
We should know the word when we see it, when we read it, hear it and know the pronunciation to spell it correctly.

  • part of speech;
We may misunderstand the meaning of the word without knowing which part of speech it is.
We should be careful about this.

As for me, today I misspell the word "mint". This is a noun and it spells - /' m i n t /. Definition :  any of a family (Lamiaceae synonym Labiatae, the mint family) of aromatic plants with a square stem and a 4-lobed ovary which produces four one-seeded nutlets in fruit; especially
:  any of a genus (Mentha) of mints that have white, purple, or pink verticillate flowers with a nearly regular corolla and four equal stamens and that include some used in flavoring and cookery.

Here some words I confused with:
  • frustration (a deep chronic sense or state of insecurity and dissatisfaction arising from unresolved problems or unfulfilled needs) Ex: He was angry about the frustration of his plans.
  • mnemonic (assisting or intended to assist memory) Ex: That song is a good type o mnemonic techniques. I remember all new words.
There are words that entered the dictionary in 2016:
  • full-scale (Of actual or full size; not reduced: full-scale model.)
  • yogalates (A fitness routine combining Pilates exercises with the postures and breathing techniques of yoga)
  • splendiferous (Full of or abounding in splendour; resplendent).

                    Learning new words is always difficult.

When we learn something new we try to find the best and the most useful tips which will help us to make our study easier and more interesting. I spent a lot of time searching for really helpful methods of learning new words and now I am ready to share them with you.
Before you start learning something new you have to motivate yourself and understand why do you want to know this and what is your purpose.
 As for me, I found interesting the advice about routine. We should make writing new words our habit and write it regularly. The best way is to make wordlist and choose the most comfortable methods of using it.
When we start writing a wordlist we should write not only words but collocations also. We have to keep in mind that examples also help us to learn faster and remember words longer. Moreover, you have to create your own scheme of writing words. For example, word, part of speech than transcription, definition and finally translation or you may write in one page only nouns in another page adjectives and others. What is also important, you may use pictures instead of translation. Furthermore, a good way of writing wordlist is writing your own examples using new words.
I use all of this methods and try to be enthusiastic.

This is a link to an article I worked with: http://linguapress.com/advanced/skyscrapers.htm
In the wordlist, I have collocations, single words, and a phrasal verb.
And finally, I want to wish a good luck and excellent results to all of you. Impossible is nothing.
